Service and maintenance?
Industrial shredders are exposed to harsh conditions. Particularly exposed components wear out and must be replaced after a certain number of operating hours. This means that professional maintenance is essential to keep the machine running smoothly in the long term. In principle, industrial shredders can be classified into 1-shaft, 2-shaft and 4-shaft shredders with or without a perforated screen, where the perforated screen defines the size of the granules (which can range from 10 mm to just under 300 mm). Different cutting systems with different sizes and cutting unit widths are used, depending on the material, the required throughput (up to 70 t/h) and the desired fraction size.
These are the specialists for economical coarse, medium and fine size reduction of various materials. 1-shaft shredders from UNTHA for waste and recyclables processing feature maximum input material flexibility, high throughput, perfect material disintegration, defined homogeneous fraction size and maximum availability. Another advantage of the slow-running, cutting system is its low noise and dust pollution. Its single-stage shredding and particularly economical UNTHA Eco Power Drive make the machine especially efficient and economical.
Its specialty is the coarse shredding of voluminous waste and recyclables. Its independently rotating cutting shafts ensure perfect material disintegration. Thanks to the UNTHA quick-change cutterbar system, the two available cutterbars can quickly be removed and replaced with a new cutterbar unit. The cutting chamber is also easy to access as well as quick and easy to clean. Thanks to their economical UNTHA Eco Power Drive, UNTHA's industrial 2-shaft shredders have the lowest life cycle costing (LCC) in their class.
UNTHA's patented 4-shaft cutting system has been specially developed to meet tough requirements. The chipping discs are extremely insensitive to impurities, designed for intensive continuous operation and particularly economical thanks to their long service lives.
UNTHA's industrial 4-shaft shredders score points with the high quality output material, which they achieve thanks to the good material disintegration during the shredding process. The optimum lumpiness and homogeneity of the shredded material is thus particularly well suited for further sorting processes and the recovery of valuable materials. Depending on the requirements, different perforated screens are used for a defined fraction size, whereby very high throughput rates are achieved thanks to the large screen area.
