Demolition wood includes all waste wood from interior and exterior fittings, constructional timber, and all sorts of mixed ranges. Our innovative XR wood shredder is particularly well-adapted for shredding waste and demolition wood.

WASTE WOOD SHREDDING
Thanks to waste wood processing, however, it can be recycled again in an economical way. During processing, the waste wood is shredded and separated from other materials, usually metal. Depending on their classification, the wood chips produced can then be recycled to recover materials or to produce energy.
In the US, there are four grades of wood waste
Clean recycled wood: Material created from pallets and secondary production, etc., and ideal for making animal bedding and mulches in the United States
Industrial feedstock grade: This is clean wood plus C&D waste that may be used as a raw material to produce chipboard, panelboard, or other wood materials.
Fuel grade: Material appropriate for biomass fuel from the preceding classes as well as municipal collections and civic amenity sites. Wood chips are used as a high-quality fuel in biomass or co-generation plants.
Hazardous waste consists of all grades of wood, including treated material such as fences, utility poles (also known as telephone poles), and trackwork. This waste wood must be disposed of in specialized facilities.

We help to improve your wood recycling business
We offer innovative and economically-viable shredders for processing waste wood from all grades. Our reliable wood waste shredders have a capacity rate of up to 40 t/h < 100 mm in a single stage. Thanks to the optional magnet separator, foreign objects can be separated from the wood chips immediately after shredding. They are also available as a stationary or mobile shredder design.
Our specially designed waste wood package consists of indexable inserts that may be reversed up to four times and perforated screens with chip breakers, ensuring a long service life and a particularly homogeneous final product without excess lengths. In addition, the quick-change screen system makes it easy to swap the perforated screen when a new output size is needed.
Low operating costs, low fines, and reliable resistance to extraneous materials with simultaneous high performance are only a few of the success factors which put UNTHA machines ahead of the rest.
Thanks to the low dust and noise pollution, employees, residents, and the environment also profit from our wood shredding solutions.
For the rough shredding of high-volume waste, we offer with the ZR a powerful pre-shredder solution. The low-speed, high-torque two-shaft shredder can process different waste materials down to 90% < 300 mm.
