Homogeneous feedstock is essential for effective recycling. That’s why Foucault Recyclage chose a shredder from the XR series—energy-efficient, resistant to contaminants, and highly versatile. This allows the company to expand its services and adapt to the needs of different customers, including those in the wood energy and panel manufacturing industries.

Founded in 1900, Foucault Recyclage is a fully independent, family-owned waste collection and processing company now in its third generation. Located in France, the company processes around 20,000 tons of waste per year from construction and industrial businesses, municipalities, and private individuals. This includes metals, paper and cardboard, wood, plastics, cables, and glass. The company's mission is to recycle as much of this waste as possible, contributing actively to a sustainable circular economy. Foucault Recyclage has been awarded the LUCIE 26000 CSR label in recognition of its commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Foucault Recyclage needed a shredder capable of processing a variety of materials, particularly waste wood, cables, and aluminum. The primary requirement: high-quality, homogeneous output material free of impurities. In their search for a machine that met these demands and offered flexibility, they tested shredders from various manufacturers. Ultimately, PROXIREC, UNTHA’s representative in France, introduced the XR3000C mobil-e—and it stood out from the competition.

The UNTHA XR3000C mobil-e impressed with its broad range of applications, electric crawler track mobility, and energy efficiency. Powered by the UNTHA Eco Power Drive, the XR uses up to 75% less energy than comparable diesel shredders. Its C-cutter system and interchangeable perforated screens produce consistently homogeneous output. Depending on the screen used, particle sizes from 25 mm to 300 mm can be achieved. The uniform granulate is ideal for further material recycling. This slow-speed, single-shaft shredder is also highly resistant to contaminants and requires minimal maintenance. The cutting blades are reversible and can be used up to four times, extending their service life and reducing costs.
We chose the UNTHA XR3000C mobil-e because we place particular emphasis on the quality of the output material—homogeneous and free of contaminants. This shredder is versatile, mobile, powerful, and energy-efficient all at once.
